Always mow; on the highest setting, with sharp blades. For your first mow of the year, DO NOT BAG clippings; instead, “mulch” your grass on the first cut. Afterwards, feel free to bag, or continue to mulch.
1. Pets & Kids
A. Keep out of reach of children.
B. Safe for pets when used according to the product label. Ensure pets are not in the area while applying the product.
2. Lawn “Burn”
A. SWARD products are PURPOSELY low in Nitrogen. Apply very generously and not risk damaging the lawn.
3. Water Safety
A. Do not apply near water, storm drains, or drainage ditches. Do not apply if heavy rain is expected.
Avoid mowing immediately after the SWARD application. Wait 24-48 hours to mow and preferably after watering the product into the soil.
SWARD fertilizer is generally safe for the environment and for Pets. Simply sweep or use a blower to remove excess granules from sidewalks and driveways. Iron ingredients, if left on walkways, may cause staining on concrete. Follow written instructions on each SWARD bag for further guidance.
Note: Herbicides (Weed Defeater & Crabgrass Preventer) should not be spread in mulch beds or gardens. Only apply these products to your lawn.
